Chapter 10 - A New Dawn in Geneva

Three days later, our private Gulfstream touched down on the tarmac of Geneva International Airport. The crisp, clean Alpine air filled my lungs as I descended the aircraft stairs, carrying little Leo in my arms, with Julian walking closely beside me, holding my hand.

Waiting for us at the private terminal was a vintage silver Rolls-Royce, driven by our trusted family chauffeur, alongside a breathtaking view of the snow-capped Swiss Alps glistening under the morning sun.

As I buckled Leo into his custom car seat and slid into the luxurious leather interior of the car, I looked out the window at the peaceful, beautiful landscape stretching out before us.

In Las Vegas, Dante Moretti was facing federal prison, his empire dismantled, his name disgraced, and his syndicate dissolved. Lily and my mother were struggling to survive in a modest suburban rental, forced to confront the harsh reality of a world without wealth or privilege.

And here, thousands of miles away from the neon lights and betrayal, I was finally free.

Julian slid in beside me, wrapping his arm around my shoulders and pulling me close as the car smoothly pulled away from the tarmac toward our home on the shores of Lake Geneva.

“Where to first, Mrs. Vance?” Julian asked with a warm, teasing smile.

I looked down at our sleeping son, then up at my husband, feeling an overwhelming wave of happiness, security, and absolute peace wash over my soul.

“Home, Julian,” I whispered, leaning my head against his shoulder as the beautiful Swiss landscape rolled by. “Just home.”
