Chapter 10 - A New Dawn

One year after Courtney Vance was sentenced to twenty-five years at the Gatesville Women's Correctional Facility, the private beach behind a secluded seaside villa in Cabo San Lucas was decorated with white roses, twinkling fairy lights, and flowing linen canopies.
There were no corporate executives present, no paparazzi, and no business associates looking for networking opportunities. The only people gathered on the sand were Grant, Natalie, their twin boys, and Natalie’s sister, who had stood by her through the darkest years of poverty.
Noah and Leo stood beside Grant at the rustic floral altar, dressed in matching beige linen suits and white sneakers. Both boys held small velvet ring boxes, puffing out their chests with immense pride as they took their duties as co-best men very seriously.
When the acoustic guitar began to play a soft, melodic tune, Grant turned his gaze down the wooden boardwalk.
Natalie walked toward them, barefoot on the warm sand, wearing a simple, elegant ivory silk gown that flowed with the ocean breeze. She wore no heavy jewelry, only a delicate silver bracelet Grant had given her on the day they first met twelve years ago, which she had kept hidden in a velvet pouch throughout all the years of separation.
As she reached the altar, Grant stepped forward and took both of her hands. His eyes were bright, his smile radiant with a joy he had never thought he would feel again.
""Five years ago, a storm tore our world apart,"" Grant said, his voice carrying over the gentle crash of the waves. ""I was blind, foolish, and easily misled. But you survived the wilderness, Natalie. You protected our sons, you kept our love alive in their hearts, and you gave me the greatest gift a man could ever ask for: a second chance. I vow to spend every breath I have left protecting your peace, honoring your strength, and loving you and our boys with everything I am.""
Tears of pure happiness glistened in Natalie’s eyes as she smiled up at him. ""We walked through fire to get back to this moment, Grant. But looking at our boys today, and looking at you, I know that our story wasn't meant to end in tragedy. It was meant to teach us what truly matters. I choose you today, tomorrow, and for all the days of our lives.""
Noah stepped forward, popping open his ring box to present Natalie’s ring—a brilliant emerald diamond flanked by two smaller stones representing their twin sons. Leo stepped up next, handing Grant his ring with a wide, dimpled grin.
""By the power vested in me by the state and by the love that built this family,"" the officiant declared with a warm smile, ""I now pronounce you husband and wife again. You may kiss your bride.""
Grant wrapped his arms around Natalie’s waist, lifting her slightly off the sand as their lips met in a deep, passionate kiss that sealed five years of heartache into distant memory.

The boys cheered wildly, jumping up and down on the sand and throwing white rose petals into the air. Grant set Natalie down, and together, they pulled Noah and Leo into a tight, unbreakable family embrace as the sun dipped below the Pacific horizon, painting the sky in breathtaking shades of gold, amber, and crimson.
Their past had been fractured by lies, but their future was written in stone—built on truth, redemption, and an enduring love that nothing could ever tear apart again."
