Chapter 7 - A Cabin Awakens

The applause began with the retired gentleman in row eleven, who stood up and clapped his hands vigorously above his head. Within moments, dozens of passengers unbuckled their seatbelts, joining in a spontaneous standing ovation that shook the aircraft cabin.
""Bravo, kid!"" someone shouted from row eight.
""Good for you, sweetheart!"" yelled a woman across the aisle.
Amanda Sterling stood frozen in the center aisle, her mouth hanging open in sheer disbelief. Her manicured hands trembled as she looked around at the wall of disapproving glares and pointing fingers. The cloak of wealthy entitlement she wore had been entirely stripped away. Every single passenger on flight 842 now knew her name, her selfish actions, and her cheap deceit.
Sarah, the flight attendant who had previously looked so overwhelmed, walked down the aisle directly toward seat 15B. Her eyes were shining with tears.
""Ma'am,"" Sarah said to me, gently placing a hand on my shoulder. ""Please, gather your belongings. You are moving right now.""
""To row twelve?"" I asked, wiping away a tear of immense relief.
""No,"" Sarah smiled warmly. ""To row one. Captain's orders.""
As I stood up with Noah, the two gentlemen in my row immediately jumped up into the aisle to help me retrieve my diaper bag and baby carrier from the overhead bin.
""We've got your bags, ma'am,"" one of the men said with a respectful nod. ""Please thank your husband for his service. You have an incredible daughter.""
I walked down the aisle holding Noah, who was gazing up at the ceiling lights with wide, curious blue eyes. As I passed each row, passengers patted my shoulder, offered warm smiles, and gave thumbs-up gestures.
When I reached row twelve, Amanda Sterling was attempting to shove her belongings back into her designer tote bag, her face burning with humiliation. She refused to look anyone in the eye.
Marcus approached her with a clipboard and an official laminated document.
""Mrs. Sterling,"" Marcus announced in a voice that carried clearly across the cabin. ""Under Title 49 of the United States Code, interference with flight crew duties and creating a hostile cabin disturbance is a federal infraction. I am officially reassigning you to seat 36E—the last middle seat in the rear row next to the lavatory.""

""What?!"" Amanda gasped, clutching her bag to her chest. ""You can't do that! I paid for this flight!""
""You fraudulently occupied a premium seat you did not purchase,"" Marcus replied coldly. ""You have two minutes to move your personal items to row thirty-six, or the captain will divert the aircraft to Phoenix, and you will be met by federal marshals on the tarmac at your personal expense.""
