Chapter 6 - The Trap Is Sprung

Three days later, the financial destruction of the Vane syndicate sent shockwaves through the criminal underworld. Viktor Vane, desperate and cornered, called an emergency summit at his private cliffside villa overlooking the stormy sea, demanding answers from his associates. He had no idea that the silent, invisible force behind his ruin was sitting comfortably in the bulletproof security room of the Rosati estate, watching every security camera feed live on a bank of high-definition monitors alongside Massimo, Bruno, and Luciano.
Elettra wore a tailored black blazer that Massimo had insisted on buying for her, her hair styled neatly, looking every bit the brilliant cybersecurity strategist she truly was. “His primary guards are concentrated at the front gates and the main dining terrace,” Elettra explained, pointing a laser pointer at the tactical blueprint on the screen. “If we hit the communications relay first, his security detail will be completely blinded for exactly four minutes—giving your strike team all the time they need to secure the perimeter without firing a single shot.”

Bruno stood right beside her chair, leaning over to inspect the schematic, his shoulder brushing against hers in a reassuring manner. “You have a tactical mind like a seasoned general, Elettra,” Bruno murmured, his voice low and rich. “Are you entirely sure you want to stay behind the screens instead of watching the fun up close?” Elettra smiled, a genuine, radiant expression that made Massimo look up from his tactical comms device with a soft, approving grin. “My war is fought with keyboards, Bruno, but I’ll happily take the front-row seat to watch Vane lose everything.”
Massimo secured his leather gloves, his midnight-blue jacket draped over his arm before he slid into his tactical gear. He walked over to Elettra, placing a heavy hand on her shoulder and locking eyes with her. “Stay right here, keep your eyes on the feed, and leave the rest to us,” he commanded gently, the authority in his voice softened by a deep personal warmth. With a nod to Luciano and Bruno, the three brothers moved out into the twilight, leading a flawlessly coordinated strike that would permanently rid the city of its most vicious tyrant.
